The Brave New World lamp by Moooi
Inspired by old Far Eastern bamboo scaffolding, the Brave New World lamp by Moooi started out as a concept piece of random thought initiated construction. It was initially developed without a design or plan in place, but each piece of wood was carefully pegged together to form an integral piece of the final mechanical structure.
The oak frame is used in conjunction with cast iron balancing weights and gives the impression more of a sculpture than a lamp.
